Do I have to register each store individually, or can I register multiple stores at once?
You can select multiple stores at the same time in the portal. However, you will receive a separate email for each selected store for verification or confirmation.
What is entered as the serial number for PC cash registers with custom software?
The serial number is only required by the cash register hardware, not the serial number of the software. The serial number of the hardware is usually included in the order confirmation or delivery note for the cash register hardware or on the type plate of the cash register.
Why is the “Register TSE” button not yet displayed? Is this due to missing master data such as the tax number?
This is due to the software version. At least version 1.10.1 is required. Corresponding documentation with system requirements is available.
What effect does the version number have on the message? Does a new message have to be sent when the version changes?
No new TSE notification is required for a software update. A new notification would only be necessary in the event of fundamental changes.
Can the tax number also be entered in the company instead of in the organization?
Yes, that is possible. The tax number can be stored at the company level in the “Company Identification” section. It is important that it is formatted correctly (usually 10 or 11 digits, e.g., 123/1234/1234) and that the appropriate state is selected. This will automatically generate the 13-digit ELSTER tax number that is valid throughout Germany.
There are tools available for this purpose, such as this one.
Does it matter whether the tax number begins with 0 or 1?
Yes, that doesn't matter in this case.
If, for example, the address of the place of business changes, does a new TSE notification have to be submitted?
In the event of changes such as a new address, a new TSE notification is required.
If it is a software cash register, should the serial number field be left blank?
If the software has a serial number, this should be used. Otherwise, the serial number of the hardware will be entered.
How much does the transfer/reporting cost? Are only real reports billed, or test reports as well?
Only genuine reports will be invoiced. The cost is 25€ per report. There are no monthly or annual fees.
